bingo rules

Most of us have at some point in our lives enough acquainted with Bingo on one way or another, but we have nevertheless chosen to describe the rules in this game. The rules are very simple and straightforward to go to, and although some bingo room has different kinds of bingo games that are the basic rules usually the same.

Bingo was once described to me as "community lottery", which probably really is a pretty good way to summarize it. Bingo game is in itself a very simple lottery but with a strong community built up around it. That makes it one of the most fun and addictive game in over time for people of all ages. Earlier, it was a game limited to seniors, but Bingo has really hit the mainstream in recent times, with the advent of online bingo games that appeal only continue to grow.

Before you begin to play bingo, you obviously buy one or more bingo cards. Bingo plates contain figures arranged in a 5 x 5 grid corresponding to the five letters in the word BINGO. The game itself takes place when the figures are drawn randomly one at a time (out of a total of 75 figures in American Bingo and out of a total of 90 figures in British Bingo) until at least one player has formed a "bingo" pattern at least one of its bingo boards.

Examples of bingo patterns may be five numbers in a vertical, horizontal or diagonal row. However, there are many possible bingo designs and may differ from bingo games for bingo games.

Bingo players try to match the numbers that form a particular pattern specified at the beginning of game. This pattern may be to mark all four corners of a plate to cover all the numbers (a pattern called a 'Cover All') or to mark a complete straight line or one of the many other patterns. The first person who can mark the numbers corresponding to the pattern, shout 'Bingo' and collect a percentage of the total pool of money or a second prize depending on the game rules.

A bingo game usually consists of 75 numbers - in some games, there are 90 numbers. Normal bingo sheet will typically look like this:

The figures are arranged in five columns, using the following rule applies to 75 ball bingo:

     * B column contain numbers between 1 and 15
     * In the column contains numbers between 16 and 30
     * N column contains numbers between 31 and 45
     * G column contains numbers between 46 and 60
     * O column contains numbers between 61 and 75

When the number shouting, e.g. B15 you must tick the box of B15 - this will in most cases happen automatically when you play bingo online. When the pattern you play for, it can be a vertical row, a diagonal row, a horizontal row or something else entirely completed have bingo. On the first sheep pattern filled course win. It varies from game to game and the pattern to play for.

The field in the middle of the plate is free fields which can be used for one of the figures are not located on your own bingo board.
